We are very excited and thankful that the City of Fort Lauderdale installed a floating dock to safely launch kayaks and paddleboards in our neighborhood!
A group of neighbors hatched the idea at the Sunset
Social in May. After much discussion and debate, the Middle River Terrace Neighborhood Association endorsed the project, and the City installed it before Christmas. Now everyone in the neighborhood has access to the beautiful Middle River!Many thanks to all the hard-working men and women at the Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation Department for the fabulous improvements and upkeep to both the 18th Street Dock and the Middle River Terrace Park. Thanks also to everyone at the Transportation and Mobility Department for installing no parking lines and no parking signs around the dock to discourage illegal parking. You’re all great!
