The city is doing an inspection/audit of our recycling efforts. This morning (Feb 11, 2021) my fellow Green Your Routine volunteers and I combed through a few streets in MRT. Happy to say we were about 60% compliant. This is basically an educational effort to try and reduce the costs and waste of contaminated bins. #1 problem, and my household used to do this as well, was plastic bags. NO PLASTIC BAGS/FOOD/STYROFOAM…
I found one bin that was just used as a regular trash can!
The approved items for recycling ♻️ is listed again here. Again, this is just an effort to make our recycling compliant and purposeful. Thanks to the many who were spot on!!
