Fort Lauderdale voters approve new police headquarters and improved parks as bonds pass
Voters in Fort Lauderdale agreed to increase their property taxes to pay for better parks and a new police headquarters. Charter changes also passed that move city elections from spring to a November cycle, do away with the city primary election and extend terms from three to four years.
