NE 13th Street Project

Announcing the revitalization of NE 13th Street Improvement Project

Fort Lauderdale City Commission and Broward County have entered into an agreement to apply $1.5 Million Dollars to begin the process of revitalizing NE 13th Street from 4th Avenue to 9th Avenue. The next Town Forum meeting is tentatively scheduled for sometime in September, 2014 to discuss and map out the infrastructure improvements to reach the vision of a vibrant and safe corridor. The BOD asks that all neighbors participate in the Town Forum to discuss any ideas and concerns you may have with the project. The project covers the entire width of our neighborhood from 4th Avenue to Dixie Highway and beyond to 9th Avenue. If approved the plan as initially proposed will reduce 4 lanes to 1 traffic lane in each direction, which may increase drive-thru vehicles in our neighborhood and hinder our ease of travel east on NE 13th Street from Dixie Highway to US 1.
