Important General Election Dates and Deadlines

This week, organizations around the country will participate in National Voter Registration Day which is a nonpartisan civic holiday celebrating our democracy. First observed in 2012, it has quickly gained momentum ever since. Nearly 4.7 million voters have registered to vote on the holiday to date.

Last day to register to vote for the upcoming November 8th General Election: October 11, 2022. Deadline to request that a Vote-by-Mail ballot be mailed to you: 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Any VBM requests received after 5:00 p.m. on October 29th will NOT be accepted or processed for this election. You may vote in person early or on Election Day.
In order for your vote to count, your Vote-by-Mail ballot must be received by the Supervisor of Elections by 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. If you are planning to vote-by-mail, please mail it far in advance of the November 8 General Election or deliver it to an early voting location or at a ballot drop-off location.
