Announcing: For the first time in Middle River Terrace Neighborhood Association History!
After successfully reducing the speed limit from 35 to 30 MPH our BOD was able to request and get approved two crosswalks within the mid-section on Dixie Hwy along the Middle River Terrace Neighborhood.
Construction work will start Mid July and ending before school starts at the end of August!
This will allow all our residents to legally cross the street on crosswalks. Remember the last fatality we had? The victim was considered at fault because he wasn’t crossing at a crosswalk, and the only two crosswalks we have (one at Dixie and 13 street and the other on 26th street in Wilton Manors) they are one mile and half distance from each other!!
This is another great step forward to more upgrades and a safer neighborhood!
